How ARESTIN Works
ARESTIN contains minocycline microspheres — tiny, bead-like particles that are placed directly into the infected periodontal pockets after a scaling and root planing procedure. Once in place, these microspheres gradually release the antibiotic over time, targeting and killing the bacteria that cause gum disease right at the source of infection.
ARESTIN continues to fight infection for up to 21 days after placement, providing sustained antibacterial treatment that goes beyond what scaling and root planing alone can achieve.
