Understanding Your Estimate
Insurance coverage can be complex. Here is what every patient should know about dental insurance estimates and payment responsibility.
Estimates Are Not Guarantees
Insurance estimates are based on the information provided by the insurance company at the time of verification. They are not a guarantee of payment or coverage. Final payment amounts are determined by your insurance company after the claim is processed.
If Insurance Does Not Pay
Any balance not paid by your insurance company becomes the patient’s responsibility. We encourage patients to review their benefits carefully and contact our office with any questions about their coverage.
Secondary Insurance
We may file secondary insurance as a courtesy, but patient responsibility is based on the primary insurance estimate. Patients are responsible for following up with their secondary insurance and for any remaining balance.
VA & Medicare Advantage
VA Community Care and Medicare Advantage patients should contact the office directly for eligibility and coverage verification. Coverage and benefits vary by plan, and a referral may be required.
No Insurance? No Problem.
We offer in-office membership plans for patients without dental insurance, along with flexible financing options to help make treatment more affordable. Membership plans cannot be combined with dental insurance.
