Denture Relines
The jawbone and gum tissues naturally change after teeth are lost, which can cause a denture that once fit well to become loose over time. A denture reline modifies the surface that rests against the gums so the denture fits the current shape of the mouth more closely.
A reline may improve comfort, reduce movement, decrease sore areas, and improve chewing stability. In some cases, however, an older or significantly worn denture may need to be replaced rather than relined.
